The GoTrack Monitoring Software officially updated 34 provincial-level administrative units map on July 31, 2025, following a resolution on the addresses of newly established cities. This update provides accurate information to help users adapt early to the changes in administrative addresses in Vietnam.
According to the National Assembly’s Resolution, from July 1, 2025, Vietnam has reorganized administrative units. Specifically, the number of provincial-level units has been reduced from 63 provinces and cities to 34 administrative units, including 28 provinces and 6 centrally governed cities.
In the midst of these significant changes, GoTrack has proactively prepared to adapt by fully updating and optimizing our administrative map system, enhancing accuracy in journey management and monitoring for users.
GoTrack Updates Administrative Boundaries – Accompanying Every Journey
Once the National Assembly’s decision on reorganizing provincial-, district-, and commune-level administrative units took effect, GoTrack’s technical team promptly updated the new map on the GoTrack365 platform. The goal is to provide precise information and ensure legal compliance in monitoring transport vehicles.
Updating 34 Administrative Units on the GoTrack Platform
GoTrack365 has updated information for 34 provincial-level units and over 3,300 commune-level units, based on the merger list attached to Resolution 60-NQ/TW in 2025. As a result, the previous map of 63 provinces and cities has been replaced with the latest and most accurate administrative boundary data in Vietnam.
Standardized Addresses on Digital Map
The new administrative map update is not only about changing place names or boundaries in the digital map system. But it also represents a significant adjustment that helps users and businesses quickly adapt to the new structure — from home addresses, street names, and ward/commune/province information to tracking, fleet management, and operational optimization.
Example:
- Old Location: Lot B13, Van Phuc Auction Area, Le Van Tam Street, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City.
- New Location: Lot B13, Van Phuc Auction Area, Le Van Tam Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi City.
This change aligns with the State’s standardized database, preventing errors in location information and related issues. Fleet managers now operate on a map system that fully complies with the new regulations.
Automatically Updated Across All Digital Platforms
The updated 34 new provincial administrative units map is available across the entire GoTrack365 monitoring system from July 31, 2025, including on the Website platform and Mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
