Today marks a truly special day. Across Vietnam, every town, street, and home is adorned with the vibrant red of the national flag. The red flag with golden star waves proudly in the gentle autumn breeze, evoking memories of the historic autumn of Hanoi in 1945. Amidst the blooming flowers and festive atmosphere, the entire nation unites in joy to celebrate the sacred 80th anniversary of National Day.

Through countless hardships to win independence, 80 years have passed yet the golden milestone remains unchanged in value – the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. It is an eternal source of pride, a reminder for every generation to honor and remember the sacrifices of those who gave their blood and lives for the Fatherland.

No matter where they are, every Vietnamese shares the same heartbeat of pride and deep gratitude, turning their hearts toward the homeland. We live, study, and work today in a society of “Independence – Freedom – Development,” a priceless achievement built upon the sacrifices of generations who came before, so that Vietnam shines ever brighter on the world map.

May every Vietnamese heart forever carry this profound emotion: pride, gratitude, and reverence for peace, along with an enduring passion to join hands in building a stronger and more prosperous Vietnam.
